Blame
You should know 2 things upfront:
- I got a D in the entry level college algebra class.
- I dropped chemistry in high school because I was going to fail anyway.
Having said that, I think GlazeCalculator is accurate. Of course, it's based on material analysis which is always variable. In any case, I simply provide it as a service in the interest of
advancing glaze development among potters. I'm a potter and it helps us all if we deliver safe and useful products to our customers. If you find an error let me know. But, I offer no warranty whatsoever regarding the use of GlazeCalculator.com.
Support
In short, there really isn't any. I'd love to hear from you. And if you have a problem using the site I'd love to help. But, I'm very busy working a full time job, making pots, and fly fishing so I may not be able to respond
to you as fast as you'd like. Don't let that discourage you from contacting me @ mike(at)curiouslayman(dot)com.
Making Recipes Public
Part of the goal of GlazeCalculator.com is to make sure that when sharing recipes, the unity formula data travels with it. That's why I have the "Make Public" option available. However, if I know that the author of a book has publicly requested that the recipes from their book not be openly shared, I will do my best to respect that. This means that while you may certainly store that recipe in GlazeCalculator.com, you may be asked to keep it private. This applies to only a small fraction of the recipes likely to be entered.
